Situated in the heart of Papatoetoe, Peverill Crescent is a small quiet street and soon to be home to a 9 unit development over 3 levels.  Located on a 1,000m2 section, the site is the restricting factor for getting the highest return possible with the development.

The developer turned to AFS Logicwall as a solution for the vertical structure, given its ability to reduce wall thickness and maximise floor area. Logicwall was used on all intertenancy walls, stair shafts and some external walls, providing both structural capability and design efficiency. 

Using the 162mm Logicwall profile, the development eliminates strapping and lining of the intertenancy walls, while still keeping a 55 STC acoustic value and 4 hour fire rating. To meet H1 Energy Efficiency requirements, exterior insulation was installed over Logicwall, achieving compliance while delivering a warmer, more energy-efficient design. 

The thinner wall meant larger, more functional apartments and more sellable space, increasing the return on investment for the developer.
