4 Hanley’s Farm House Build
Queenstown House Build on a Sloping Section
At Hanley’s Farm in Queenstown, Navigation Homes and Queenstown Concrete Floors delivered a stunning bespoke home on a challenging sloping site overlooking The Remarkables. With the house being a split-level house, the design required retaining walls, originally designed in masonry blockwork, to support the upper slab.
While exploring alternatives to blockwork, the builder discovered AFS Rediwall, which offered stronger engineering performance, a faster installation, lower labour costs, and no need for additional trades. With the help of our in-house technical team, switching to Rediwall was simple and seamless. A total of 45m² was supplied and installed, fully replacing the original blockwork design.
The builder installed, reinforced, and propped the walls in just one day, ready for the concrete pour the next morning. Compared to a nearby blockwork build, taking more than three weeks. Rediwall’s lightweight panels, clean finish, and weather-resilient installation made it the clear choice for efficiency and control on site.
