Design ideas fulfilled
As an architect or engineer, it’s important to choose construction materials that please the client for design style, as well as the builder or developer for being able to build efficiently.
Rediwall® is ready to take the challenge head-on, with a PVC permanent formwork wall that saves on time and labour costs. Better-suited to subterranean applications including basements, blade walls, carparks, retention tanks, service and stormwater pits, rediwall® can also be utilised for party walls, columns and retaining walls.
Performance overview
With continuous vertical and horizontal reinforcement, rediwall® achieves outstanding structural capacity. The polymer-based casing creates a durable, smoke, fire and water resistant wall surface contributing to the longevity of the structure.
The Ezy-Fit™ open-back corner gives unobstructed access for trouble-free installation of reinforcement bars. Certifying engineers simply remove the cap to approve placement prior to pouring concrete—that’s not possible with conventional systems.
The Ezy-Fit corner is currently available for our 110mm and 156mm panels.
For junction between walls meeting at 90˚: extruded 200 x 200mm block corner, with slide-in 20mm female connections each side. Available for single or double reo bar placement (to be specified in your ordering). For m2 calculation, value is 440mm face width. For junction between walls meeting at 90˚: extruded 150 x 200mm block corner, with slide-in 20mm female connections each side. Only available for single reo bar placement (to be specified in your ordering). For m2 calculation, value is 340mm face width.
Fill gaps under 250mm (a full panel) with face widths of 49mm and 68mm and male-to-female slide-in connections. Typically used towards the end of wall where remaining space can be measured. Having some on-hand can avoid doing ‘overlap’ joints.
Male-to-male connection for joining two female ends, particularly useful at a 90˚ corner. Recommended you order one for each 90˚ corner. Female-to-female connection for joining two male ends, particularly useful at a 90˚ corner. Recommended you order one for each 90˚ corner.
A versatile joining section (resembling an ‘H’). Used vertically, it can be slid into gaps 40mm or less, then screwed along each edge at 200mm max. centres. Horizontally, it can lie along a straightened top edge of rediwall® panels, as a track for next level of panels to be placed vertically inside (does not form a waterproof cold joint). Used on external walls, ‘watershed’ outside can be achieved by trimming off the top edge of the outside of ‘H’—forming a ‘J’.
J-track
A horizontal joining section, mainly used internally. Normally used along top of slab edge, where a floor track is needed as well as location and cover on exposed side e.g. lift shaft or stairwell. Externally, this does not give a waterproof joint.
T-joiners
A specially made track to connect a new wall to existing wall as a ‘T-junction. This track has holes for concrete and reo engagement to the ‘through’ wall. The track is mounted vertically, by screwing, and also sometimes gluing, to the face of a run of wall to start a wall as a T-junction, at 90˚. Provides a slide-in female connector, so that the new wall panels can be joined by simply sliding together. Not to be confused with our standard Floortrack.
Floortrack
Shares a Floortrack profile, with holes for concrete and reo engagement. Mounts vertically to the face of a run of wall to create a T-junction, close to 90˚. Makes a push-on connection (not slide in). Panels are then started and screwed to the track both sides.
End caps
For capping off wall ends and openings. A push-on connection with a 25mm lip return for fixing with screws or adhesives. Can be installed before or after the wall is filled. Must be propped if a flat end is required.
